The blue label 14% was more palatable. The red label 17.5% was just loony juice. Like the blue Mad Dog 20/20.

LOL! Agree with you there Stace. I can't even stand to smell the stuff theze dayz, let alone drink it. I had one wild night back when i was about 19 with Thunderbird and that was it. Even the smell of it would make me puke today.
seems to me the Peppermint Creeps on thier last tour had a tad of a run in with some ABSINTHE. that really messed up the two who decided to take that one on...anyone here ever take that stuff? makes mad dog 20/20 seem like koolaid...
i used to drink a lot of nightrain when i was younger and running with the glam pack out on the west coast, a lot of crazy days and nights liquored outa my mind, listening to Tigertailz about 50 times a day. I must have drove everyone crazy with that stuff.
now i cant even so moch as SMELL a bottle of mad dog or nightrain without wantin' to blow chunks!
LOL
would be WONDERFUL to get a wrathchild reunion but only if they would come to the STATES as well!
Absinthe is available over here, but not many places sell it. At 70% alcohol by volume, or thereabouts, it causes trouble. It used to be sold in our local pub, but no more than 2 shots per customer.
I believe its been banned in some countries across Europe. Reputedly, its what made Van Gogh go mad and chop off his ear, lol.
Can't believe that after all the searchs I have done on the net this is the 1st place I have found anyone who knows about the Babysitters/ Idols/ Glam era I so much loved in the 80's an early 90's.
I have some tapes pic's and many memories from this period. Would love to get hold of some Sitter's stuff.
Carl if you still have the Buttz interview e-mail to me please!
Glamster where are you from in Cov? Where did you hang out? Were ya in a Band? Maybe our paths have crossed?

Thanks for the reply and the link.
After finding this forum I will now be a regular on here.
All the memories are floodin back!!!
That has totally amazed me seeing Buttz running a shop. It just goes to show you cannot judge a book by it's cover. He always seem to be so out of it!
When I get you the interview, you will find that he is just a nut! LOL!!! I don't know if he was out of it back in the day, but from what I can figure out, the guys was just a HUGE goof!!!
Good to have you here Andy! If any of those memories seem like they would make good stories and threads, please share!!!
